Background

General Aim
To provide an annual opportunity for the staff, fellows, students and new alumni of Leeds College of Art to offer their work for sale to the general public.

Current Situation
This is a new event that will bridge some of the gap between being a student and becoming an enterprising graduate. It provides an opportunity to stand side by side with professionals, to network to get objective feedback on your saleable work.

The Message

For the customer: Come to buy our exciting work from emerging creatives, local professionals and recent graduates. There is something for the bargain hunters and serious art collectors alike. Buy original work as gifts or investments.

For the exhibitors: Be associated with the crafting of a new, annual event that, in ten years time, will be the talk of Leeds. We are starting a new tradition for the 21st century. We lead where other Art colleges and departments may want to follow. We will be the original and the best.

Target Market

Art lovers, craft lovers, fashion lovers from 16-65. North of England. Educated. They read craft magazines, Elle Decoration, and the Guardian. 

Available Budget

We will have a maximum budget of £200 to pay for printing invitations, posters and maybe a banner for the front of the building.

Submission

Should be made on 2xA2 boards including:
- a range of concepts
- your preferred design applied to a poster, an invitation and a banner.
